Hello, been a wee while. I am going to have to be a bit more disciplined with myself and update this blog on a more regular basis!
This time I thought I would share some pictures of my "office". Managed to steal a bit of space in the bedroom to do the paperwork and keep up with Facebook and this blog.
The desk was bought from an "antique" shop, I use the word very loosely but it was a bargain and exactly what I was looking for. The chair was a freebie from Freecycle. I love this site, you never knew you actually needed something until someone is giving one away! The pinboard is a Lemon Thistle creation. Trawling local charity shops for weeks to find a decent frame (the picture was hideous and promptly found it's way to the bin). Love the fabric on this. A bit empty just now, daughter now at the party on the invitation, but hope to fill it up soon.
The apple is another Lemon Thistle creation, more fabric that I love. The house was a gift from my Hubby, it's from the Kirstie Allsopp collection. I have been given a house like this for Christmas for the past couple of years. Hope to see another one from Santa this year (hint, hint). You either love or hate Kirstie. I am on the love side, she is not quite Martha Stewart but as near as we will have in the UK. The pig just says it all. Have had this for years and it still rings true (can you believe I am an Administrator in my day job and am constantly on a computer) but the older I get the more I learn.
My sewing room is normally located in the loft, but at the moment the whole house appears to be my sewing room. So will not share that with you at the moment, my head is so full of ideas of how I would like it to look. Given time and money I will get there, and will be able to show you around.
Have a good week and speak soon.
