We'll also have a SALE page with some great offers too. Chat soon :-)
We're getting busy with lots of new stock and Christmas goodies so the website pages will be updated soon with items we hope you'll love. In the meantime if you've see anything from craft fairs that you'd like to know more about or order then that's no problem. Just get in touch either from the contacts page or via Facebook (Twitter is an option too but the other Lemon Thistle lady deals with that so I won't pretend to offer advice!).

We've been having a great time at the Tilly Traders fairs and today was their 1st Anniversary. There was a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids and, as always, lots of lovely crafters. It's a great event and well worth coming along to - especially with people thinking of Christmas already! Fabulous unique ideas for gifts are plentiful.
We'll be at Dunblane Victoria Halls next Sunday (1st September) so come along and say hi SUMMER IN THE GARDEN A rare day off for both the ladies so it was down to some brainstorming in the garden with tea and a bun (and Molly the cat). Had a lovely day on Sunday at the Tilly Traders fair in Devonvale Hall, Tillicoultry, thanks for all the kind comments and custom. Some new lines in that will be on the website soon.... Thinking about Christmas already and trying out some ideas from books. Not getting very far following instructions with hilarious / ridiculous results. Ach well, practice and all that...eh..and more cake. Sorted. Dunblane Craft Market After what feels like a very long time, we are back.. The other half of LT is back and now works under the name Shabby Carrot, still under the umbarella of Lemon Thistle. She also has her own Facebook page, please take a look, and like!
This year we are going to stay closer to home, crafting within Clackmannanshire & Stirling. We were very lucky to be able to show our "wares" at the famous Dunblane Craft Market. Met so many talented people, some of whom I need to give a shout out to: Shabby Bags - www.folksy.com/shops/shabbybags This stall have beautiful retro bags and accessories Little Enoka - www.littleenoka.co.uk Beautiful felt bags, scarfs & accessories Angel Woollies - Find them on Facebook Lovely knitted items - so jealous of this stall, what a talent (I NEED at least one of their tea cosies) Big thank you to the organisers, we had a great time and met lots of very talented people. Lets hope we can get a table again this year! Last week saw us back in Dunfermline. We were at Abbey Park Place church hall. We were invited by one of our customers from the Kingsgate. She kindly kept us in mind when organising the event. Again we had a great time, what a response to our stuff. Our table was nearly empty! A good deal of money was raised for the playgroup. Again thanks to the organisers. Next stop...Tillicoutry. We will be at Devonvale Hall (next to Sterling) later this month, will post more details nearer the time. June sees us in Tullibody for a school fete, again details nearer the time. Well what a year it has been, very steep learning curve, exciting and yes challenging. Would I have changed anything? No!!! I have made mistakes, but have certainly learned from them. I have grown more confident in what I can do and offer. I have made so many new and great contacts, some of which I can now call friends. I have loved working with the Dunfermline Daft for Craft guys, you are a wonderful bunch and it has been great to work beside you all, lets hope this continues in 2013. It is with much great sadness that I will continue on this venture on my own, the other half of Lemon Thistle has called time, she has other commitments and is realistic about what she can do. She may return in time, but for now you all have to put up with me!!
I have so many ideas going around in my head, I really must write them down. I start the new year with a nice order for Curtains, cushions and draught excluder!! No Craft Fairs for the first couple of months, lets be honest who has the money? I hope to be back at fairs for March, just in time for mothers day. During the first couple of months I will be developing some new lines, some of you may be getting the experiments so be warned! New years resolutions. 1. Make sure I write on the blog each week, 2. Develop new ideas, 3. Increase likes on Facebook. 4. Still love what I do!!! So with the end of this years final blog may I take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of their support, especially my Husband and Family. Thank you all for your custom and positive feedback. And wish you all a very Merry Christmas and fabulous New Year. xxxxxxx Lucie. It is with huge regret that we will not now be going to the Dunfermline craft fair at Kingsgate from 3rd - 9th December. There are many other fabulous stalls with beautiful unique gifts. Hope everyone has a brill time, we'll miss the craic. Aw ra best.
Oh boy, need to borrow Santa's elves to help materialise (haha) all the ideas from oor wee heeds ready for the "winter" craft fare back at Dunfermline at the start of December. Lots of unique festive goodies, gifts and giggling - we seem to do a lot of that when working. Thanks to customers who have been in touch with orders and kind comments, we hope the bespoke service offered gives you a gift you'll love. Be back soon with updates and blisters
Hello there. Well it was sunny Dollar for Lemon Thistle today, as part of Craft Fairs UK. A gorgeous day at the foot of the Ochil Hills. Every stall there had beautiful handmade items. Hard not to spend spend spend. We're really starting to set the machines alight with makings for that date in December :-) New and unusual are our hanging apples which you can see here on the site. Watch out for some more in festive fabrics - oops now I'm using the"F" word.
The nights are fair drawing in and thoughts turn to the dreaded "C" word, which is currently being whispered (Christmas that is).
The sewing machines seem to be on all the time just now. We made some aprons to sell at Dunfermline to see how they would do. They went down so well that we have a load of material on the dining table waiting to be turned into stunning and unique aprons. We will only ever make a max of 4 out of the same material, and even then they won't be the same, as there will be differences in the material used for pockets. The Craft fairs are picking up, with 3 booked for this month alone. Have a look at our Craft Fairs page for further information, also have a look at this link https://www.facebook.com/events/505264962820872/ New products will be added to the site in the next few days, so keep an eye out. We are also looking into setting up a shop on Facebook, so watch this space. Well need to get back to the dining table, material is waiting to be transformed. We have had a fantastic 4 days at the Craft Exhibition in Dunfermline. There has been lots of interest in our products and services (also managed to sell quite a bit). We have had a few enquiries about our bespoke service, which is very exciting. We would like to thank Aileen and all those involved with Daft for Crafts. They have welcomed us and have been so friendly and helpful. We have made new friends and look forward to working with them all over the next few months.
We will be at the Kingsgate Shopping Centre again in Aug/Sept/Oct and for a week in December. With this in mind we are now looking ahead to Christmas, not what you want to think about in July. Material on order for lots of new items. These will be on sale from October on here and in December and the Craft Event. Speak soon. |
